I Live with My Grandmother is the story of Seolah and her little brother who move into their grandmother's house, away from their parents. A few of their cousins already live there. Seolah and her little brother feel intimidated. Seolah soon realizes that there is a special rule in her grandmother's house. She must act quickly. If she is too slow, she can't eat as much of her favorite food as she likes, and may even have to go to school with a tattered umbrella on a rainy day. Seolah gradually learns to live in her grandmother's house.
Each with a story to tell, the children live together under the same roof. But the children in I Live with My Grandmother are bright and cheerful. Just like other ordinary kids, they are noisy, greedy, and mischievous but they are not dispirited. How could this be? Turning the pages, we notice that their grandmother quietly watches the children's backs. She may seem curt and tough-looking, but deep down, she cares deeply for her grandchildren and looks after them as their parents would. She takes good care of all seven children living in her house. Thanks to her loving care, the children are all healthy and confident.
