Overview

This children's story is about growth that delivers a sense of greenish hope, going beyond fear.

Book Intro

(English) The Needle

Sing a song of greenish hope, going beyond fear.

This picture book delivers the message that the natural environment, which was destroyed by human desire, can recover and that humans can overcome their inner fear through Nature.

This needle people story describes how little Yuni grows after meeting a needle person and develops new hope after meeting a needle child. It is like a tale and is fantastic.

Ye Jin Mo's drawings provide a rich description of the real world using detailed, monotone pencil lines and of the fantasy world using diverse green colors. They are an outstanding representation of the theme that develops a sense of hope from fear.

The Needle is a steppingstone that enables children to overcome their fear and go on a path of growth.
