Overview

A wordless picture book in a comic book style. This picture book, reminiscent of the story of Noah's Ark, criticizes human greed.

Book Intro

(Russian)

(English) Big Fish

Lee Gihoon's second picture book, Big Fish, vividly describes the misery brought about by human greed.

Big Fish is a wordless picture book. Its subtle-yet-dynamic illustrations tell a legend-like story of a great flood and a war between human beings and animals after humans capture and imprison Big Fish, which can gush water for their barren and desolate earth. Dexterously mixing the story of the mysterious fish and Noah's Ark, this book not only entertains readers but also provides them with opportunities to critically reflect on human civilization today.

The book's comic book-like composition, with big and small illustrations in various styles, draws readers into the story.
