(English) I' am just Frog!
A tadpole dreams. ‘What will I grow up to be?
Do I resemble a moonlight or a petal?' However, It is not easy for a tadpole to become a frog.
Finally, the joy of being a frog is a moment. And reality is severe. There are too many life-threatening things.
The frightened frog shrugs itself down. It makes us think about our identity through the growth and survival of a frog.
Nevertheless, it cheers for people who are not losing their self-love
(Russian) Всего лишь лягушка
Вылупившийся из икринки головастик очень надеется, что сможет летать. Наконец он подрастает превращается в лягушонка, который резво прыгает и напевает: «Я лягушка!». Однако в ответ он слышит от окружающих: «Ты всего лишь лягушка», – и на какое-то время падает духом. Но вскоре он вновь высоко подпрыгивает навстречу миру со смелым выкриком: «Да, я лягушка!». Эта книжка с картинками о взрослении и решимости защитить маленький и хрупкий мир.
(中國語/中文) 一只青蛙而已
这本书是2019年韩国出版项目资助活动中的指定作品。这部原创绘本通过青蛙的生态，展现了自我成长的过程。我是谁？该去哪里？对这些问题感到困惑的瞬间，一声强有力的呐喊守护了自己脆弱的世界。对未来的自己还懵懵懂懂的小青蛙卵，慢慢变成了小蝌蚪，现在终于成为了一只小青蛙。但想要大声唱“我是一只青蛙”还为时尚早。他被身后“一只青蛙而已”的嘲笑声音追赶着，最后躲进了伸手不见五指的黑暗里。生活中无论是谁都会经历这样绝望的瞬间，这本书告诉我们要牢记自己的重要性。
(Spanish/español) Por más lo que hagas, eres una rana
Obra elegida para el proyecto de apoyo al contenido publicitario de 2019. Consiste en un libro de dibujo creativo que manifiesta el procedimiento de crecimiento de uno mismo mediante el ecosistema de una rana. En el momento que uno se angustia preguntándose quién es y a dónde debe ir, contiene un pequeño y sólido grito para proteger el diminuto y frágil mundo.
El huevo de la rana, que todavía no sabe en qué se va convertir, luego de pasar la época de renacuajo, se transforma en rana. Pero el canto de “Soy una rana” perdura poco. Fugado por la voz de “Por más lo que hagas, eres una rana”, se esconde en la oscuridad donde no puede ver nada. Es un ejemplar de dibujo que narra la importancia de la pregunta de quién es uno mismo en etapas de angustia, experimentados al menos una vez por cualquiera de nosotros.
(Japanese) しょせんカエル
2019年出版のコンテンツ支援事業に選ばれた作品。カエルの生態を通じて自我の成長過程を描いた創作絵本。自分が誰なのか、どこへ行けばいいのか悩む瞬間、小さくて弱い世界を守り抜く小さく太い叫び声を詰め込んだ。自分が何になるかまだ知らないカエルの卵は、オタマジャクシの時期を過ぎてついにカエルになる。しかし、「僕はカエルだ」と声高らかに歌っていたのもつかの間。「しょせんカエルだ」と言う声に追われ、何も見えない闇の中に隠れる。誰でも一度は経験したことのある絶望の瞬間、自分が誰なのかを忘れないことがどれほど大切なのかを語る絵本だ。

(English) Jang Hyun-Jung likes to observe the beauty nature gives us and transfer the feelings exactly into pictures. Occasionally, she listens carefully to the many sounds of the world and imagines the life and colors the sounds are telling her about. Then, a world she had never imagined unfolds in front of her eyes. On a hot summer day, she quietly closed her eyes and listened to cicadas' cry for a long time. What are the sounds of summer cicadas telling us? The Chirrup is her first picture book.
(Japanese) 自然が与える美しさを観察し、その感情をそのまま絵に盛り込む作業が好きだ。 『そうしたってカエル』は書き描いた2番目の絵本です。
(Russian) Работы Чан Хёнчжон отличаются вниманием к тончайшим деталям и переполняющей рисунки энергией. Автор известна своими иллюстрированными книгами «Цикада» и «Всего лишь лягушка».
