(English) Witch Barracuda's Garden

Grand prize winner of the 2015 Korea Andersen Awards. This is a creative fairy tale in the fantasy genre that deals with the issues of discrimination and protecting nature. It talks about the adventure that begins with the wizard girl Meilin visiting the legendary Witch Barracuda’s Garden. This book was written based on the rich imagination of Lee Seok-yong together with the warm and delicate drawings of Lee Min-gyeong. Unique characters such as ‘Meilin’ who is an inquisitive witch of the Camellia family; ‘Bong-soo’ who is a descendant of the Phoenix family and has outstanding insight; ‘Doo’ who is the descendant of the Bamboo family and who is very detail-oriented; ‘Witch Barracuda’ who used to be kind but for some reason, closed and sealed the garden; ‘Principal Baek’ and ‘Gestapo’ that does not want any more witches in this world, and ‘Cultivator Grandpa,’ ‘Black Bear,’ and ‘Parrot’ who help the children appear in this story to vividly deliver the adventure stories of these children.

这本书是2015年“韩国安徒生奖”的大奖获奖作品。这部科幻童话作品的主人公是小魔法师梅林、她为了找到传说中魔女巴拉库达的花园、开始了冒险之旅。故事反映了现代社会中的歧视和环保问题。作家李石龙的文字天马行空、画家李民京的笔触温暖细腻。山茶花家族的魔女、充满好奇心的梅林、凤凰家族的后代、拥有天才观察力的奉洙、竹林家族的后代、性格细腻的阿斗、为人慈祥、但因为某件事而把自己封在庭院里的魔女巴拉库达奶奶、希望魔女不要再出现的白校长和盖世太保、热情帮助孩子们的犁地机爷爷、黑熊、鹦鹉等等。随着个性鲜明的人物一个个登场、这本历险记变得越来越生动有趣。

(Indonesian) Sebuah dongeng kreatif fantasi tentang diskriminasi dan pelestarian alam, menggambarkan petualangan Meirin seorang penyihir kecil dalam mencari kebun penyihir legendaris barakuda. Buku ini menunjukkan penduduk desa yang memiliki ketakutan terhadap penyihir namun pada akhirnya merangkul penyihir itu, dan memberikan pelajaran bahwa jika kita menghilangkan prasangka buruk, semua orang dapat mencapai dunia yang lebih bahagia.

2015 한국안데르센상 대상 수상작. 차별과 자연보호 문제를 다룬 판타지 창작동화로, 꼬마 마법사 메이린이 전설로 내려오는 마녀 바라쿠다의 정원을 찾아 나서며 겪는 모험을 그린다. 이석용 작가가 풍부한 상상력을 바탕으로 집필했고, 이민경 작가가 따뜻하고 섬세한 그림을 더해 완성했다.동백꽃 가문의 마녀이자 호기심 많은 ‘메이린’, 봉황 가문의 후손이자 관찰력이 뛰어난 ‘봉수’, 대나무 가문의 후손이자 섬세한 성격의 ‘두’를 비롯해 인자하지만 어떤 사건으로 인해 스스로를 정원에 봉인한 ‘마녀 바라쿠다 할머니’, 마녀가 이 세계에 더 이상 나오지 않길 바라는 ‘백 교장’과 ‘게슈타포’, 아이들을 돕는 ‘경운기 할아버지’, ‘흑곰’, ‘앵무새’ 등 개성 강한 캐릭터들이 등장하여 아이들의 모험기를 생생하게 전한다.
