The Annals of Joseon Dynasty, a history of more than 500 years, is still significant as it contains various aspects of Joseon era, including politics, economy, and culture. In fact, in the Annals of Joseon Dynasty, real voices of kings and subjects are quoted without editing. Harsh criticisms by annal writers are also recorded intact.
