(Russian) Самый большой котел в мире

В селе героя Тори взрослые как ни встретятся все ругаются да спорят. И вот в один из таких дней над селеньем раздался громовой голос: "Замолчите!" 

И вслед за этим над селом нависла чья-то огромная тень. Этот великан пригрозил, что будет съедать каждый раз по одному человеку, кто будет начинать шуметь и ругаться. Что же делать?

Все взрослые жители села задрожали от страха. Но дети наоборот: они были бесстрашны. Среди них был наш герой Тори, который, сам того не сознавая, прокричал, что в день зимнего солцестояния сварит для великана кашу из красной фасоли, чтобы тот никого не ел. И на удивление всем великан тихо отступает.

Как только его не стало, взрослые опять принялись ругаться. Тогда Тори и его друзья стали варить кашу.

Так в этой истории показывается как ребенок сам решает свои проблемы и учит детей постоять за себя.

(English) The Biggest pot in the World

The peace stored in the world’s biggest cauldron
People who have always hated and argued with each other begin to work toward one goal. After starting to make the world's biggest cauldron together, the everyday lives of these people change little by little. They can no longer fight because they have realized that peace is something that can be obtained through joint efforts. As they collaborate with each other and focus on making the cauldron, the people hardly argue.
After months of hard work, the cauldron is finally made. The people fill the pot with red bean porridge, float a boat and row together to keep the porridge from getting stuck, and sing songs as though they have never fought before. Traveling through the red bean porridge ocean, sweating, and singing together, they become one.
Red bean porridge has been a part of our ancestors' lives for a long time. Not only during winter solstice, but also on days when neighbors were in sorrow, our ancestors would make this porridge and share it with each other. They believed that the red color of the red bean porridge would expel ghosts and prevent disasters. In The Biggest pot in the World, Ddolyi's neighbors make red bean porridge together, throwing away the hatred and anger that has resided deep inside thier minds.
In the last scene, neighbors and animals eat the porridge together, sing a song, and dance. The peace that they feel for the first time brings them pleasure. Fear, anger, and selfishness that have lingered in their mind are now gone, and the warm red bean porridge gives them peace and comfort.
The Biggest pot in the World portrays the pleasure of living and overcoming hardships together, as well as the value of reconciliation.

세상에서 가장 큰 가마솥에 가득 담은 평화
언제나 티격태격 싸우며 미워하던 사람들이 하나의 목표로 향한다. 다툼으로 하루를 보내던 사람들이 세상에서 가장 큰 가마솥을 만들면서 조금씩 달라진다. 힘을 모아야만 안전하게 살 수 있다는 사실을 깨달았기 때문이다. 영차영차 힘을 합해 일을 해나가는 동안 점차 말다툼이 잦아든다.
몇 달간의 고생 끝에 가마솥이 완성된다. 팥죽이 눌어붙지 말라고 가마솥 안에 나룻배를 띄우고 다 함께 노를 저으면서 사람들은 언제 싸웠냐는 듯 노래를 부른다. 팥죽 바다를 헤치며 뜨거운 땀을 흘리고, 입을 모아 노래를 부르며 하나가 된다.
우리 선조들은 오래전부터 팥죽과 함께했다. 동짓날은 물론이고 이웃이 슬픈 일을 당했을 때도 팥죽을 쑤어 나누어 먹었다. 팥죽의 붉은빛이 귀신을 쫓고 재앙을 막아 준다는 믿음 때문이다. 똘이네 마을 사람들은 다 같이 팥죽을 만들면서 마음 깊은 곳에 자리 잡았던 미움과 분노를 말끔히 몰아낸다.
마지막 장면에서는 마을 사람들이 동물들과 함께 팥죽을 먹으며 노래 부르고 춤을 춘다. 처음으로 평화를 맛본 사람들은 행복감을 느낀다. 그들의 마음속에 자리 잡았던 두려움과 분노, 이기심은 멀리 사라졌다. 따뜻한 팥죽이 서로를 미워하며 분노하던 사람들의 마음에 평화로운 위안을 준다.
『세상에서 가장 큰 가마솥』 안에는 함께 고난을 이겨 내며 싹튼 화해의 마음과 더불어 사는 기쁨이 따뜻하게 녹아 있다.
