(English) BIR Publishing Co., Ltd. was founded in March 1994 as a specialist in children's books. It was initially a division of Minumsa Publishing Group and used the name Minum Children's Books. Though it now operates under an independent brand name, BIR inherits the tradition of Minum Children's Books. BIR has published books that understand and express children's minds and books that children can enjoy reading.

It was BIR that first introduced the books of world-famous authors and illustrators that were not readily available in Korea. In 1992, it established the Golden Goblin Prize, which was the first prize in Korea specifically dedicated to finding talented new children's book writers and to encouraging domestic children's book writers. BIR tries to make various books that can interest children, and to that end, it pays special attention to the harmony of writing, illustration, and book design.

(Russian) Издательство основано в марте 1994 г., унаследовав традиции от материнской компании "Минымса", издала серию книг "Дети веры". Книги издательства прекрасно понимают мир детей, поэтому они всегда доставляют радость маленьким читателям. С одной стороны издательство знакомило корейских читателей с произведениями мировых сказочников. С другой всегда искало новых талантливых авторов и иллюстраторов. Так в 1992 г. издательство получило премия "Золотой Ттоккеби". Все книги издательства особенны и не похожи друг на друга.
