Yeo Jubi was born in a small rural village in Yeongdong, North Chungcheong in South Korea, where sweet grapes and persimmons would ripen at every house. Yeo grew up running through the alleys of small rural villages with clear streams flowing and beautiful fields and mountains that change with the seasons. Such childhood sensibilities had a huge influence on Yeo’s writing and paintings.

Yeo published the fairy tale I'm Happy to Meet You. The Three-Way Bus Station is her first picture book.
