Kim Beomjun graduated from the School of Physics at Seoul National University and obtained his PhD at the Graduate School of Physics. He served as president of the Korea Academy of Complexity Studies, as a member of Engineers and Scientists for Change (ESC), and as a member of the Popularization Committee of the Korean Physical Society. He is currently a professor in the Department of Physics at Sungkyunkwan University. His works include Big Data and Physics by Kim Beomjun and The Physics of World Objects.
