(English) Since she was young, Hong Gyeongwon liked comic books and animations and also liked to spend time daydreaming. She wanted to be an adult, doing what she wanted to do, but she found out that reality was much tougher than she had expected. Despite disappointments and fear she has experienced in life, she also felt intrigued and challenged by those hurdles which life presented her with. After crying and laughing over them, she realized she was able to take another step forward. She writes and draws, hoping to introduce to readers books that will empower them or give them a moment of rest. After studying comics and animation at Sejong University, she worked on Team Leader Kang Overcoming Discrimination and Ashtanga for Kakao Webtoons. She received the Best Bucheon Manhwa Award for Living in a Forest in the category of children’s comics in 2020. 

(Japanese) 幼い頃から漫画やアニメが好きで、空想や雑念が多かった。人生で自分のように多くの悩みを抱えている人たちに、少しでも感動と慰めを与えられる作品を見せたいという思いで制作を続けている。世宗大学でマンガ・アニメーションを専攻し、KaKaoのウェブコミック『無差別！カンチーム長』、『アシュタンガ』を連載。受賞歴に、『森の中に住む』で2020年富川漫画大賞子供漫画賞を受賞。
