(English) Eo Kangseok is a professor in the Korean literature department at Chungbuk University. After studying Korean literature at Chungbuk University, he received his Ph.D. from AKS for his dissertation on literary works by Mogeun Yi Saek. Eo worked as a professor in the Department of Korean Language at the Dalian University of Foreign Languages and also as a researcher at the Jangseogak Library at AKS.  He specializes in classical literature from the late Goryeo to the early Joseon era. His publications include Mogeun Yi Saek’s Life and Literature, Composition Techniques and Poetic Effect in Mogeun`s Quatrain with Seven-word Lines, and Creation of Dongguk (the Eastern Country) Poetry in Late Goryeo and the Intention of Ikjae.
