Choi Hyang-rang loves every type of handicraft, including creating collages of flowers, tree leaves, and seeds, as well as painting, clipping, gluing, sewing, and knitting. Choi enjoys slow walks in the park with Gureum, her 8-year-old dog, and she tries to imbue her books with the delicate and warm beauty of nature, which is shown only to those who have composure. Choi studied western painting at Seoul Women's University and received the 7th Changbi Good Children's Book Award for her work The Delicious World Tour.
