The elementary school teachers (Kang Jibin, Jo Ayoung, Choi Jeongah, Choi Jaok, and Hwang Jinhee) who participated in writing this book have watched, observed, and listened to many different stories in the classroom. One of these stories includes the ‘help’ that children offer in good faith being regarded as an inconvenience by the other person. Children in the classroom often say, “I’m just trying to be nice; she doesn't get it,” and “I can do it myself, but he keeps interfering.” This is not a problem experienced just by children. This happens between friends, parents and children, friends of the opposite sex, and spouses. This book was written with the hope that children will have the opportunity to think about the meaning of real help through this book. In I’ll Help You, the author Kim Yeawon expresses the thoughts of teachers regarding this matter through writing and painting.
