Bae Sang-jun graduated from the School of German Literature at Konkuk University and received his Ph.D in film studies from Philipps University of Marburg through his study on the aesthetic styling of Rainer Werner Fassbinder films. He has served as a professor in the Department of Media Communications at Sungshin Women's University and as a member of the Visual Subcommittee of the Korean Association for Broadcasting & Telecommunication Studies. Bae currently serves as a professor of cultural content at Konkuk University. His works include Writer Films, Introduction to Motion Picture Arts, and 24 Leading European Animators.
