Ryu Seung Youn (F) is a former reporter and the mother of a disabled child. She became a journalist after graduating from college, taking advantage of her personality, curiosity and self-proclaimed temper. She learned about a glamorous life as a magazine journalist, a poor and powerless life as a social journalist, and the harsh reality as a political journalist. Working as a journalist of National Assembly for 6 years, she dreamt of a stable life as a director in her 40s and editor-in-chief in her 50s. After marriage, she became pregnant with twins, and her life made a 180-degree change when her disabled child was born. After dedicating 10 years to parenting a child with disabilities, she realized that disability is not irrelevant to us, and that "disabled" people are not scary or strange, but human beings who live a different life. Her books include Different, but Not Different.
