Shin Hyeon studied Korean literature in college. Now making books with publishing houses and children’s book agencies, she finds inspiration from the time she has spent with her children in the mountains, fields, and beaches. Athena and Ares is the first story that came to her from that time. It has won the 17th Mahaesong Literary Award.​
