(English) Kwak Young-im is a novelist, broadcasting writer, dramatist, and musical writer.

Kwak studied economics at university, and after working at a lobbyist company, started working as a broadcasting writer. She worked for various programs ranging from educational/informative programs on music, economy, medicine, and law, documentary/current affairs programs, to short dramas. She also wrote musical scenarios for Gwanghwamun Yeonga 2 and Soap Opera.

Kwak won the excellence award with her story K-innocence Project at the Korea Story Contest. In addition, she was awarded at 2021 KOCCA New Story Writer Contest with her mystery thriller Welcome to Royal Town. Welcome to Royal Town is a story about a murder case that occurs in Royal Town, a top-class residential complex. This story explores the true meaning and nature of relationships that we inevitably form in our life.
