Lee Songhyun received a PhD in literature at Chung-Ang University and currently teaches children’s and young adult literature at the same university. Lee won the Ma Hae Song Literature Award with the full-length children’s book, Here Comes Daddy!, the Spring Literature Award for the children’s poem, “Candy in My Pocket,” and the Four Seasons Literature Award and New Writer’s Prize at the Seorabeol Literature Awards with the young adult novel My Youth, 370 km/h.

Lee’s works include the full-length novels 10,000 Times Diving, Cricker My Guardian, Line, Bad Romance, and Dream Chef, and the children’s series My Name Is Ship Min Jun, and the titles, A Day When Pooing Is Hard, Oduri the Super Star, and Announcer Club After School. Lee’s children’s poem “Whenever You See Me” is included in the second-grade Korean elementary school curriculum. What makes Lee the happiest in life is scribbling down things with a fountain pen, while letting her imagination run free. Lee dreams of living as a reliable storyteller.​
