Kim Hae-woo received the New Writer Award at the 8th Pureun Literature Awards in 2009 with her short story “Seven Feet, Nineteen Feet,” which is included in Korean elementary school textbooks. She also received the New Writer Prize at the 8th Socheon Children’s Literature Awards in 2013 with her full-length novel A Child Who Stands Guard at the Privy. Her other works include A Witch Principal and a Very Special Watch, Forgery Classroom, I Will Pick My Dad, Honesty Man and Tattle Man, I Am the Real Journalist, A Secret of the Trash House on 77th Street, My Suspicious Family, and Genetically Modified Companion Animal Moong-Chi.
