Cha Yul Ri (F) was born and raised near the blue sea. Currently Cha works at a small library in Seoul and lives with a pair of cats. Cha studied children's story at the Konkuk University Graduate School of Children's Story Media Creation, and won the 2014 Korean Award for Hans Christian Andersen, the 22nd Noonnoppi Children's Literature Award, the 1st Kyobo Books Folk Tale Award and the 3rd No. 1 Marshmallow Award. Books she has written include the marine fantasy story Mermaid Girl, Unknown Blue and Scary Story Exploration 1: First Love of a Vampire.
