As a child, Jeong Jihye loved playing with dolls. Even now, she loves to make and decorate things by hand. She studied cartoon and animation in college, and worked at a game company after graduation. She became a picture book author because she loves more than anything to write and illustrate stories. Her works include Sounds from the Alleyway, I’m an Old Fifth Grader, My Older Sister, No Matter What Anyone Says, which she illustrated, and All Mine! And Ms. Sunbun’s Vegetable Stand, which she both wrote and illustrated.
