Jang Jiseong studied oriental painting at Seoul National University and Hongik University Graduate School and majored in Art History at Dongguk University's Graduate School of Humanities. He currently teaches at the School of Art Education at Jeonju National University of Education and serves as a visiting researcher at the Kansong Art Museum. He holds individual and group exhibitions with a focus on traditional painting styles of the late Joseon period. His books include Korean Art and Traditional Art Appreciation.
