Moon Yeongmi (F) studied History at university and Theology in graduate school. She published a book called House of Dawn about her childhood spent in the community "House of Dawn," which was led by her spiritual father, Pastor Moon Donghwan. She also edited Dreams of Kiringabi and Gomanye, the memoirs of her grandfather Moon Jaerin and grandmother Kim Shinmook, who are a living witness to the history of North Gando immigrants. She won the Uri Education Children's Book Writer Award for her book Come to Our Yard in 2006.  Come to Our Yard is a record of her spending time with her daughter at home in a backyard.
