Kim
Jungsuk studied Western painting as an undergraduate and art education in
graduate school. With over 100 illustrated books to his credit, he holds solo
exhibitions, creates murals, teaches picture book workshops, and curates
picture book exhibitions. He wanted Bread,
Bread, What Kind of Bread? to feel as warm as fresh-baked bread, so he had
fun cutting and pasting various papers like bread wrappers, notebook paper,
manu paper, and colored paper. His picture books include It’s Good to Come Outside, It’s Good to Draw, and Pop Goes the Fruit!, as well as the
essay collection Even Though I Can’t Draw
Well.
