(English) Physically disabled, a human rights activist, and a minority policy researcher. He studied Arts Management at the Korea National University of Arts, and Public Administration at the Seoul National University Graduate School of Public Administration. While writing his thesis, he encountered disability activism as fate would have it, and became the Policy Director of the Solidarity Against Disability Discrimination (SADD), where he met many daring and wonderful colleagues and learned the value of solidarity and struggle. Among the activists of the democratization movement generation, he became a well-known activist by using the Social Media tactics of the MZ generation and policy analysis skills he’s been honing. He initially thought of himself as an ordinary citizen, but was soon surprised every day to find himself as an adept demonstrator who was no stranger to street protests, and has written many writings based on his experiences. He co-authored Can Our Wounds Change the Future, which examines the pandemic and inequality, and writes columns on disability and minority issues for The Kyunghyang Shinmun and Beminor.
