Lee Sang-woo is a professor at Graduate School of Information at Yonsei University. He teaches Media-Content-Entertainment Business, ICT-Media-Content Industry, and New Media Seminars. He holds a bachelor's and master's degrees from the Department of Chemistry at Yonsei University, another master's degree in telecommunications from the Department of Telecommunications at Michigan State University, and a Ph.D. in mass communication from Indiana State University. Korea Information Society Development Institute contributed to the establishment of various policies related to the broadcasting industry and the broadcasting-telecommunication industry. He has served as a research director of the Korean Association for Broadcasting & Telecommunication Studies, a senior editorial board member of the Korea Association for Telecommunications Polices, and a general director of the Korea Association for Telecommunications Polices. He is currently the editorial director of the Journal of Cybercommunication Academic Society and the General Director of the Korea Media Management Association.
