Yum HeeJung has a master's degree in creative writing from Dankook University and currently works full-time as a children's author. She was awarded the First Prize at the Woman Donga journal's 80th anniversary essay contest for her work "Dream Home." The Adong Munhak Pyeongnon (Children Literature Review) magazine also awarded her the Newcomer Award in 2016 for her short story Ringo Starr. Slowly but surely, helped by the trees, the wind, and her kind-hearted friends, she plans to keep writing stories for children into the future.
