(English) Baek Taenam majored in History at Seoul National University. Baek was the chief editor at Iljisa Publishers and the head editor for the Encyclopedia of Korean Culture at the Academy of Korean Studies. Baek is currently a member of the advisory committee of Youlhwadang, a publishing company.

(Japanese) 韓国文化に対する最も権威ある知識情報を含んでいると定評のある『韓国民族文化大百科事典』の編纂に参加し、『韓国年表』、『正しい白凡日記』(基本)などを著した。
