The AeLe family consists of painter Ko Kyeong-ae and semiconductor researcher Lee Sangwook, as well as Junsung, Eunsol, and their dog Corbusier. Ko Kyeongae, who worked in the secretary's office at the Blue House during President Kim Dae-jung's term and at the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Sendai, Japan, has also held three solo exhibitions in Japan and one in Korea, always dreaming of becoming a self-taught painter. After living through the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011, she experienced a shift in life values and built the Nine-Room House in Nogok-ri, Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province.
