(English) After studying Korean literature at Jeonju University, Lee went on to study at the Academy of Korean Studies, where she received her Ph.D. She completed the translation program at the Institute for the Translation of Korean Classics, and she is presently working as a research professor at the National Research Foundation of Korea and as an adjunct professor in the Department of Korean Literature at Ajou University. Her publications include The Vanquishing of Foxes and Their Significance in Classical Novels, The Story of Jeon Uchi as a Healing Story, The Study of Netherworld Battles in Classical Novels, and Those Wicked and Treacherous Beings.
