(English) Kim Cheong-gyul, the author, had given up on writing when in 2019, she won a writing contest

 she learned about by chance. Having received the encouragement she needed to go on writing,

 she is currently working on science fiction and fantasy novels. She creates stories in which 

people try to move forward and love people. She has written the short story, “The Area Free of

 Fine Dust at Seodaejeon Negeori Station (The West Daejeon Intersection Station),” which was

 included in the anthology Fine Dust; and Ashes and Foam, a novella.
