(English) Chou Dongshin won the grand prize in the novel category at the 12th Yeosu Marine Literature Awards in 2010 with his short story Iron Spikes; runner-up prize at the 1st Ara Hongryeon Short Story Contest in 2012; excellence award at the 2nd Tasty Literature Awards contest in 2017; bronze prize at the 3rd Busan Food Story Contest in 2017; grand prize at the 4th Saha Moraetop Literary Award in 2018; excellence award at the Jeju Mythical Content Contest in 2019; and the Mystery Writers’ Association Golden Pen Award in 2019.
He wrote the novels When the Crow Caws at Night; The Spiteful Eunuch; Geumhwadogam; Philo’s 7; The Three Blades; Agwi Island; and Chief Investigator; humanities books A Guide to Reading Oriental Art for Elementarsy & Middle School Students and A Guide to Reading Western Art for Teenagers, and a number of short stories.
