(English) Born in Seoul, author Jo Yeongseo studied English Language and Literature at Yonsei University. She quit her job to illustrate, but destiny has led her to become a writer. In 2014, three of her short children’s stories were recommended by the seasonal magazine Children and Literature, and in 2017, she won the Korean Award for Hans Christian Andersen with Badger’s Cookies. She wrote Louis, the Never-Dying Dog; Ho Ho Ho the Hong Kong Grandma Ghost; and The Red Umbrella.
