Born in Busan, Seok Cheolwon studied art in college and later went to Japan to study art education before working as a designer. In 2006, he won an excellence award at the Tokyo Pinpoint Gallery Picture Book Contest, which launched his career as a picture book author. He now lives in Tokyo and creates picture books for publishers across Korea, Japan, and China. His works include the All Gather series featuring All Buses, Gather!, as well as Go Go Go Today!, Whose Shoes?, Let’s Jump High!, and Nose Nose Nose Nose.​
