Kim Haru graduated from the Department of Education at Dongguk University, studied at the Hankyoreh Children's Literature Writers School, and currently writes fairy tales and children's poetry. She won the Munhakdongne New Writer of the Year Award in 1999, and her works include her collection of short stories Her Scissors.
