(English) Kim Ryeo-ryeong studied creative writing at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, and she is a recipient of the Munhak Dongne Children’s Literature Prize, the Ha Maeseong Literary Award, and the Changbi Prize for Young Adult Fiction. Her YA book Wandeuk was hugely popular with young readers and adults alike, and it was made into a movie titled Punch. Her books include A Seahorse Lives in My Heart, Elegant Lies, The Child Who Brought Memories, Loud and Boisterous Green Apartment, and Have You Ever Seen That Person? Elegant Lies was made into the honor list by the International Board on Books for Young People in 2012.
