(English) Kim Hansu was born in Jangseong, South Jeolla Province in 1965. He made his literary debut in 1988 when his novel Growth was accepted in the winter edition of Changbi. His fiction collections include The Day the Spring Rain Came, Your Train Has Left, and The Bird on the Tin Roof, among others, while his novels include The Village with the Evening Means and The House in the Sky. He has written Where Are You Going? for young adults, and has also published a collection of essays titled The Small Philosophical Ideas Brought to You by a Seed. Currently, he is a steering committee member of the Goyang urban farm network.
