Shobi studied painting in college and now works as a travel book writer and illustrator. She worked on the marketing poster for the film Familyhood and was the illustrator for titles such as Want to Be Free When I’m Forty, I’ll Meet a Prince Said Cinderella So Brazenly, and The Private Life of My Heart. She has also illustrated company newsletters, magazines, textbooks, and music album jackets. She became a travelogue writer and illustrator and conducted educational programs such as Happy Travel Drawing for Sewol Ferry Survivors and YWCA Travel School. She gave lectures for Webtoon Traveling to South America, a program sponsored by Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Busan University of Foreign Studies. She has been invited to different exhibitions, including Untitled at Space Womb Gallery, Writers of Medium at COEX Art Gallery, and Korean Illustrators at Incheon International Airport. The Magic of Pachamama is an autobiographical graphic novel based on her travels in South America.
