After graduating from Seoul National University with a degree in Politics, Kim Ung passed the 39th judicial exam in 1997 and completed his studies at the Judicial Research and Training Institute in 2000. Kim started his career in the Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office and later became a prosecutor in the Jinju branch of Changwon District, Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office, Ministry of Justice’s Deputy Director General Counsel, and Gwangju District Suncheon branch. Following that, starting from Suncheon branch of the Gwangju District, he held a position as a deputy chief prosecutor in the Seoul South District and Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office. Currently, Kim is working as a Director of Public Security at the Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office. He wrote this book dedicated to younger prosecutors who are confused by blame received from society but always dream of doing a rewarding job. Kim wanted to say that he’s lived his life as a mediocre prosecutor, but it wasn’t such a bad choice.
