The Research Institute for Everyday Life for Alternative Society began in 1991 as a research society of daily and everyday life, and has published books on the theoretical introductions and the outline of everyday life study, such as The Sociology of Everyday Life (complier) and Sociological Understanding of Everyday Life(co-author). The institute continues to find detailed glimpses of our society’s everyday life, through publishing Sociology of Alcohol in 1999, Everyday Culture Code of Modern Korean Society in 2004, and Everyday life and Food in 2009.
