Jang Seongik (M) is Director of the Institute of Environment and Life. He majored in Religious Studies at the College at the Humanities, Seoul National University. He writes weekly editorials for environmental magazines and publishing companies, and is now involved in a variety of activities, including writing books, public speaking, publishing planning, academic and other research, and civic groups.
He dreams of a green world where humans and nature work together and life and values blossom. He aspires for a democratic society where everyone lives as the master of their lives and a community of equality and solidarity that shares everything. Going forward, the author strives to write more and more new books that look at life and the world more deeply, and encourages "different ideas" and "free imagination." He has written a number of books, including Find The Lost Democracy, My Name is A Community, Small Is Beautiful-Guidance of a New Life, Justice Is Needed In The Environment, Capitalism Makes Garbage, Life Ethics Debate and Environment Debate.
