Yun Seul-bit was born
and raised on the small island of Goheung, which has the nickname “an open-air art
museum” with artworks everywhere. She started her career as a writer for
quarterly magazine Children and
Literature. She has written and published Today’s Sunshine and Crossroads.
The latter received the Grand Prize in the short story category of the Woongjin
Junior Literature Awards and was a finalist for the children’s and youth book
of the year of the Korea Publishing Culture Awards. She has also published the
short story collection Metaphor of Plan B.
