(English) Hwang Nong-Moon is a professor of materials engineering at Seoul National University. He graduated from the Department of Metal Engineering at Seoul National University and received his master's and doctoral degrees from KAIST. Hwang worked as a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Standards and Technology in the United States and was a visiting researcher at the National Research Institute of Metals in Japan. Based on his research, Hwang found that the brain can be used to its maximum capacity through immersive thinking, an insight which was included in his first book, Think Hard. The book was selected as one of the top 5 best business management books by Korean executives in 2008 and was selected as Book of the Year by Korean bookstores. He then published Think Hard, the Second Story, which also became a bestseller.
(Japanese) 現在、ソウル大学の材料工学部教授として在職中。ソウル大学金属工学科を卒業し、KAISTで修士・博士号を取得した。韓国標準科学研究院責任研究員、米国National Institute of Standards and Technology、日本National Research Institute of Metalsの客員研究員を務めた。
研究経験を基に、没頭的思考で頭脳を最大値として活用できることを確認し、これを最初の著書『没頭』に著した。この本は、2008年大韓民国経営人が選ぶ「最高の経済経営書TOP5」、大韓民国書店選定「今年の本」に選定。続いて『没頭、2番目の物語』を出版し、この本もベストセラーになった。
