The author acquired a Bachelor's degree and Ph.D in Medial College of Seoul National University, completed his residency and worked full-time at Seoul National University Hospital. He worked in Psychiatric Medical Institute of Yong-In mental hospital, studied Program of Medical Psychiatry at the University of Toronto.  He was awarded Academic prize from Korean Association of Psychoanalysis (KAPA) in 2008 and now is a professor of Medical School of Konkuk University and contnues treating patients and writing.
