(English) Choi Eun-young became more deeply interested in the world while making documentaries at a broadcasting station. She hopes that the world, home to children—inescapably amongst the most vulnerable in society—can be full of more happiness than sadness. She is a writer who works every day to sow strong seeds of thought in children. She began her career as a writer when she received the Pureun Literary Award and the Golden Pen Children’s Literature Prize in 2006. She has received the Woori Education Children’s Book Writers’ Award, the Korean Children’s Literary Award, and the Yeollin Children’s Literary Award, and has published a number of children’s stories and young adult fiction. She has written several books, including The Children Set out to Save the Country, I Was Robbed of Mom, Why Seora Changed, The Emperor’s Choice, Not a Refugee But a Friend, The Absolute Ttakji, Game Party, Cool At Any Rate, A Strange Zoo Has Appeared, 1 Minute, The Tears of Wednesday, It Will Live If It Lives, President for One Week, and The Fiasco of the Praise Candy.
