Professor Yi Gyeong-jun, the main editor, graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in forestry. He received an M.A. from the University Wisconsin and his Ph.D. from the University of Florida in the U.S.A. He taught in the Department of Forest Sciences at Seoul National University. He served as president of the Korea Society of Forest Science and was a committee member of the Korea Cultural Heritage Committee. He is the author of Planting the Future with the Trees, (2006, Seoul National University Press), The Natural Assets: Big Old Trees, (2006, Academy Books), How Was Reforestation Successful in Korea? (2015, Giparang), 70 Years of Korean Reforestation, (Co-authored, 2015, Academy of Korean Studies), and Tree Medicine (2015, Seoul National University Press Council).
