(English) Jiho Jeong received his doctorate degree from the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Tokyo University, and is currently a professor in the Department of History at Kyunghee University. He has published a number of papers on the traditional Chinese commercial practices of hehuo and Liang Qichao's theory of the nation-state. He is the author of Chinese History Through Keywords, and a co-author of Reading Chen Shou’s Records of the Three Kingdoms and Luo Guanzhong’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and translated books including Formation of Patriotism, Modern and Contemporary History of China 1: Qing Dynasty, and The Outline of the History of Northeast.
