Kim holds a BA in Korean language and literature from Sookmyong Women’s University and an MA in literature from Korea University. She is a professional translator at the Institute for Translation of Korean Classics and is currently involved in the translation of Dairy of Self-Examination [Ilseongnok]. She is particularly interested in translating Korean and East Asian classics into modern language. Her written works include The Tale of Hong Gildong, The Tale of Sim Cheong, and The Tale of Heungbu.
