Yun Mi-Gyeong writes stories and children’s poems and creates drawings. Yun made her literary debut when she received a prize at Golden Pen Literature Award with her children’s story “Hedgehog, Rolls Up” in 2012. She received an award at the Spring Literature Contest by the Mudeung Ilbo, Pureun Literary Award, Excellent Children’s Story Award by Korea Children’s Literary Society, the New Writer Award by Poem and Boundary, and the Grand Prize at MBC Children’s Literature Award with her work Time Turtle’s Yesterday Glasses in 2019.​
